Re: Rear Wheel-Arch Sealing Panels and Flaps

Thanks for correcting my thoughts on the body being dip painted - but the question is about the colour of the wheelarch sealing panels. Should they be black?

Re: Rear Wheel-Arch Sealing Panels and Flaps

Can anyone tell me if these rear wheel arch sealing panels with the rubber seals attached should be painted black? I assume they would be fitted (pop-riveted in place) during the assembly line process and so would not be painted in body colour during the main body dip-paint process.
Thanks

Re: Bonnet centre panel to front wing assembly

From my experience the "fittings kits" supply 1/4" UNF bolts to fix the wings to the centre panel - but the Official Parts Catalogue says these should be UNC (UCS.125/5R). Should they really be UNC thread or UNF as supplied in the kits I have seen?
Thanks.

"A" post door seal guide

I'm about to replace the "A" post door seal guides on my early '64 DHC and the replacements from the usual suppliers has a notch cut out near the top as in this picture? Why is that? Am I missing something?
Many thanks.
