I will try the braze/solder approach… there is only a very small edge that shows so doubt a bit of discolouration will be a problem. Fingers crossed. Cheers

hi Steve I was looking at that today.... I don't think gluing the tabs back will work because I could only do it on the very thin edge of the metal so once they were bent I am certain they wouldn't hold. I can't glue them on the inside of the ring where there is more surface area because this would ...

Many Thanks - I fear this might end up being the only option but had hoped I might be able to track down the repo maker and buy the ring. It is so frustrating when Google doesn't have the answer because everything I have ever needed to buy or research has been at my fingertips so far...thank goodnes...

Hello forum - I am restoring a 1966 2+2 and want to retain my original growler horn push but the chrome retaining ring was in a bad way so I lifted the tabs to remove it and you know it - the tabs broke off! The part is apparently 54300576 (originally made by Lucas - see below) but I can't find anyw...
