Hi I have a 69 series 2fhc and the clutch needs replacing has anyone a rough costing on the job or recommendations I’m in Manchester my friend is a mechanic ex aa but it looks a difficult job also any recommendations on seals to replace while I’m at it thanks

Also what is recommended to purchase to do the do the job once and properly seals clutch etc any advice would be much appreciated series 2 1969

It’s a 69 series 2 fhc had trouble with it on and off for years the car has been laid up for years family keeping me busy etc and moving and renovating houses so the clut has stuck before but with the put it in gear and start it it has worked but a few years ago when u realeased the pedal it just st...

Had just been through a lot of work on the car back axle of new calipers hoses brake pipes etc the clutch going is a real kick in the teeth was desperate to get it back on the road I have a garage but wouldn’t describe it as well equipped what’s the rough costing on someone carrying out the job thanks

Thanks for the replies from what I can gather it’s the 3 bolts at the top witch are not accessible the previous chap mentioned about a section being drilled and replaced properly not exactly mutilating it and does it compromise the monoque done a load of work on the car and was just getting it on th...

Hi You will need to either take the engine and gearbox out as one unit, or make a modification to the tunnel to allow you to get the gearbox out on its own. Cutting out a piece of the tunnel seems a worthwhile modification to me, even though some would say its sacrilege. I did mine then took the pi...
