Hi:
In my new old stock parts collection I have an FAI chain tensioner (Dolomite Sprint T802K) and FAI cam chains (82 link DR and 100 link DR on boxes). Would anyone recommend using these?
Someone has handwritten EAC3629 on the tensioner and C2255 and C2256 on the chain boxes.
Thanks.
Mike

Re: Engine Stampings
On the main bearing bolts, there is a washer to replace the lock tabs now? The engine stand idea works wonderfully! https://i.postimg.cc/8k77Kcvq/90-AD3060-6655-4906-A051-BCEB6-FAB1-C19.jpg Time to replace the con rod bearings... https://i.postimg.cc/yNfNnC81/741-BFBBA-0026-49-A9-A70-B-D1-FCD7-AA171...

Engine Stampings
Hi: I have started disassembly of the engine and a couple of questions. There are 5 "F" and one "G" stamping on the block beside the cylinders. I assume this was a sizing stamp at assembly? There are a set of three letters on the block and bearing caps as well as the front cover. Is this the origina...

Engine parts recommendations
Now that the body is off to paint, I am now onto the engine rebuild.
Looking for recommendations on part manufacturers for pistons, bearings and gaskets, valve train components etc.
Most of the ones I knew of when in the trade 35 years ago don’t seem to exist these days...
Thank you.
Mike

Re: Car lift
For storage purposes (not for working on the car) I purchased one of this style:
BendPak A6S AutoStacker
Takes up much less room than a 4 post.
I have a 2 post for working on the cars...

Re: Number Stamp
I have the old frame, battered and beat... when the car gets sold when I am old, the new owners would get the old frame for confirmation of VIN if there ever where any questions raised.

Re: Number Stamp
I’ve looked at all those on FleaBay. As it is not going to be a concours car, I shouldn’t be too picky!

Re: Number Stamp
Hi Robbiee
I bought the front end frame bits 15 years or so ago. I think I’m on my own now!
Thanks,
Mike

Number Stamp
I am replacing the picture frame on the car and I wish to stamp the VIN number into the new frame.
Would anyone have a source for the 1/4” stamps in a reasonably close font?
Thanks.

It’s just been transformed from rust to solid metal.
Onto the bonnet rebuild now...
Should be at paint (hopefully) in August!
