Re: E-Type major price correction expected?!
A great article at "Classic Driver": The art of trading collector cars with Bastian Voigt How would you summarise the state of the market and what trends do you anticipate in the future? Growth slowly came to a halt around two years ago, which I think is a normal and healthy process. Things have set...

Re: E-Type major price correction expected?!
Cheers Paul! :drinkingcheers: Hi Goran, You may or may not have gathered that the forum primarily consists of enthusiasts far more interested in the restoration, improvement, driving and sheer joy of owning an E Type of any description. For me, the fact that it also may have gone up a little in valu...

Re: E-Type major price correction expected?!
We have noted in the past that the long-term outlook for British cars is uncertain since younger buyers in general still shy away from them. That still seems to be the case, but budget-conscious buyers looking for maximum fun and style per dollar should keep an eye on this segment. - Andrew Newton,...

SII 4.2L vs SIII V12 engine
Hi All, still doing a lot of research and learning about the car. I got a lot of recommendations to stick with SII and its 4.2 engine because it is more reliable, easier to maintain, gives more enjoyment in driving then the V12 which is more complex, harder to maintain and adjust, makes nose of the ...

Cost of complete replacement of interior upholstery?
Hi All, From your experience, anyone has an idea how much would it cost to change the complete interior upholstery (leather seats, carpets, doors, boot...) from i.e. black colour to red or beige colour? Anyone done it? Cheers, G. http://olczak.com/foto/jaguar-e-type/jaguar-etype-tapicerka-01-2000x13...

Re: E-Type major price correction expected?!
Global stocks are down already -30% in the last month, but we don"t know where and when will this end. 9/11 crisis: -49%. 2008 financial crysis: -57%. Recession? We are already there. Great Depression? If it continues this way (Italy, US...) everything is possible. Like every crysis this one also fo...

Re: E-Type major price correction expected?!
Agree with you Steve. There are great opportunities and very good E-Types (SII/SIII 2+2) at around EUR 40k, but usually they are gone in couple of days/weeks. Current situation, regardless of being generally negative, excites me since I'm looking to buy an E-Type and keep it forever, that"s why I"m ...

Hi All, does anyone from DACH region, preferably Austria (Vorarlberg) has a restoration company and repair shop to recommend near Vorarlberg or its surroundings?
