Try these,you will need a couple of rivenuts for each.

Silicon hoses are very soft,I use them on my Special Saloon Anglia.No need for them on the S3.

Gearbox is back from Overdrive Services in Sheffield,layshaft repaired.Very clean,& tidy job.Looking Forward to trying it out.

Quick update on progress.Turns out,the body resto was pretty good,the mechanical side,not so good.Over the last few months,all the front ball joints,recon rack,rear uprights sorted.At present,doing an O/D gearbox.When that is back in,all rubber mountings being checked,new osf ww hub,probably,nsr as ...

There are some Overdrive adaptor plates on ebay,I have put a link on for sale section.
Gearbox,overdrive unit,& various parts are off to Overdrive Services in Sheffield tomorrow.

Decided to go overdrive route.I will keep you updated.

Thanks Steve,I was thinking about buying an S3 box,complete with overdrive,& installing it,as mine has to come out anyway.Not interested in 5/6/7 speed boxes,just 4 speed,& a lazy flick of a switch.The question was,will it fit?Are they available?

If I could get an old seat subframe,I could weld extensions to the front of the seat runners,no loss of headroom.

Which would be the best way of moving the seats back a couple of inches?Re mount the subframes further back?Extend the seat runners?I would assume this has been done before.

I will try pushing the handle firmly shut.I saw another thread about climbing in the boot

On mt roadster,the boot pops open when I am going over a bumpy road,anybody else had this?That is serious scuttle shake.

Just got mine on the road,& it sounds like a good,old fashioned layshaft rattle.Is this a common problem?Easy to fix?

What is a good indoor cover for an S3 Roadster?

Exhaust paste,but get the joint started before wiping a little round the inner pipe,& some in the slots.If you use too much,especially before putting the pipes together,it will harden,break off,& rattle around in the silencer.A real bugger to take the exhaust off,try & get it out,& start again.
