Lithium Starter Packs

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a starter pack make that actually works on 4.2 engines.
I have now tried two to add to my touring backup kit and neither of them crank the engine sufficiently even though they are supposedly for petrol cars up to 8 litres!
Nigel.

Re: RECOMMENDED THERM0STAT IN UK CLIMATE

Hi Pundits, Was working from memory when posting the topic. Yes in response to comments rather than ask what is a hotter climate to reflect the available data I should have asked : 'What were Jaguar's thinking of when referring to 'cold climate'?' and why given the debate that has ensued did their t...

Re: Power Steering To be or Not to Be

Thanks for all the advice guys.
I will keep it as Jaguar intended and may try a smaller steering wheel or change over to a manual rack if I cannot live with it.

RECOMMENDED THERM0STAT IN UK CLIMATE

Hi Folks, The workshop manual states that a 74 degrees C thermostat should be used in hotter climates and an 83 degrees C in cooler climates. What are hotter climes? France Spain The Sahara perhaps? Mine is currently bubbling along at 75 indicated. I have a Smiths non electrical gauge fitted so it m...

Torque Settings - Rear Suspension

Hi, Previous threads on torque setting seem to be US. Can anyone point to a definitive publication which gives torque setting for rear shock bolts and anti roll bar drop links? Should the bolts on the anti roll bar drop links be tightened at maximum sag or when the suspension is under static load to...

Re: Power Steering To be or Not to Be

Hi, Thanks for the interest in the post. The problem as such is no doubt down to my personal preference. The steering is a marvellous asset when parking especially as I have 6 inch rims/ 205s fitted and a 15 inch version of the original steering wheel from Moto Lita. But once on the move and negotia...

Hi All,

All you comments are once again much appreciated.

Will jack the wheels up and see if they turn together!
