Re: Repairing quarter light frame
Just an update to say that Barrie (Tinworm) has repaired the frame and made a splendid job!
Thanks again Barrie and if anyone needs any brasswork repaired, I can highly recommend him.

Repairing quarter light frame
Hi, The right hand side quarter panel window frame on my 1962 FHC requires repair where the two holes for the catch are. I have looked at getting a replacement frame (none available) so does anyone know if the material (brass?) can be repaired and if anyone has experience of such a repair procedure?...

Re: Winter is here...
Just a thought here (as I am soon to install my 3.8 engine) but as Ash has done to remove his engine ie: take the picture frame out and slide the engine out forwards, would it be possible to loosely install the side frames, push the engine BACK into position, then install the picture frame and bonne...

Re: 3.8 Indicator white plastic cancelling ring
Hi David,
Thanks for the reply and all I have seemed to turn up on the JL site is the smaller white 'spring-like' part that is integral to the switch and not the castellated cancelling ring...
If anyone has a scan of this I'd welcome a copy of the data.
Thanks,
George

Re: 3.8 Indicator white plastic cancelling ring
Hi Alan,
Many thanks for the reply, but it's the castellated ring (usually white plastic) that the two 'fingers' from the switch itself engage with to cancel the indicators that I'm seeking.
Regards,
George

Hi everyone,
I realise that this subject has been discussed before, but I am wondering if there is now a supplier of these elusive items?!!
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Proof of age of engine and gearbox
Hi, I am looking to import an engine and gearbox from the US for my 1963 FHC, but in order to not pay the hefty duty and VAT that newer items are required to pay, I have been told I need ‘proof’ that the items are over 30 years old to present to HMRC. I can get clear photos of the serial numbers, et...

'New' retro radio wiring
Hi all, I have bought a new retro look radio/ipod player from Woody's in the States, however I need a bit of assistance with regards to the last bit of wiring. My car (1967 series 1, 2+2) had it's original radio disconnected when it came to me, and I was wondering if there were any existing feeds th...
