Re: S3 wiring loom main bulkhead grommet

Hi Drewpy

The part number is C30670.

SNG Show its for the V12E £73.82 Inc Vat Special Order
David Manners show it for the XJ12 £60.00 Inc Vat special order
(As to the quality or availability that remains to be seen)

You could try Hutsons/M&C Wilkinson as they may know where to get it

Good Luck

Re: s3 automatic gearbox cooler pipes

Have you tried Norman Motors - they show C33339 (Rear RET pipe) in stock but not C33400
Might be worth a try 0207 431 0940

Re: Rad air control flaps

Hi Peter
I bought a set from SNG Barratt part number C33960/3 £11.76 in stock inc VAT

I bought mine in 2011 and they were pretty good quality so probably not worth trying to make them for that sort of money

Cheers

Re: Series 3 power steering noise (video inside)

Hi ljbp To be honest I couldn't pickup the noise from the video so not sure what it is. I used to get the squealing noise from the power steering when on full lock standing still. Eventually found out it was the belt slipping. You can easily eliminate this by wetting the belt and trying it again, at...

Re: Trim colour change S3 V12 2+2

Hi Guys Many Thanks for your replies. It seems all the later 2+2 had grey headlining and black vinyl sun visors. This is what I had in my olive green interior. As I will be changing the interior colour to biscuit I originally thought it a little odd to have black vinyl sun visors with a biscuit inte...

Re: Help for the wiring loom

Hi Michel Presuming you have the bulkhead harness C34999 this will serve the washer motor and the secondary brake fluid bottle. Note: There is apparently only 1 bulkhead harness which serves both RHD/LHD. It comes out by the washer motor as per the attached picture shown at the back of the dash. Thi...

Trim colour change S3 V12 2+2

Hi Guys My painful restoration of my June 1973 Series 3 V12 2+2 is nearing completion. The car which I have owned since !977 is Green Sand with olive interior. Soul searching as it was I decided to change the colour as I was having a complete nut & bolt restoration. This means I will need to change ...

Re: 1973 V12 2+2 original documents question

Thanks Bill
Looks like I don't have that. It doesn't look familiar but it would have been nice to have the full compliment of the original documents, never mind though.
Thanks again for your response

Re: Dual Fan Wiring

Hi Toby I found the Coventry Auto components S3 wiring diagram much easier to follow than the workshop manual They are available on eBay for £10.50. I have dropped in the link below https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Jaguar-Wiring-Diagram-Booklets-Best-Selling/382421660436?hash=item590a1b7314:m:mRnl...

Re: Dual Fan Wiring

Hi Toby I have uploaded a couple of photos which are images of my car before restoration and one after where the fans work perfectly well in both cases. I have fitted a new loom so the colours may be more visible. There is also a Powerpoint presentation in the Technical Information & Documentation o...

Just to add to the thread for the few that have a Hollandia Metal Sunroof my unit worked fine for many years but started to get a stutter on closing. It had an emergency ratchet handle but I normally just helped it to close. My intention is to get it serviced similar to Chris was saying once my rest...

Re: New Battery

Hi Bernie As long as your not looking for concourse I bought a battery from Halfords. All I did was lightly sand the edges/corners and the plate fits like a glove and also in the battery tray and the terminals are the right way round. I will stick some LUCAS labels on at some time. Yuasa Silver 500 ...

There was a thread some time ago which I contributed which might help. Im not sure if Jaguar actually fitted them from factory but having said that there were a lot of XJ6 which seem to have them. Mine was a very well fitted Hollandia electric metal sunroof. Click on the link below to take you to th...

In case this helps anybody I have now got all of the leads required from Autosparks as some of the leads are not available through the normal sources and I think Autosparks had to remanufacture. My car is a RHD Series 3 1973 2+2 (AUTO) but the PDWA valve is on all vehicles :- IS50886 onwards IS72568...

Re: PDWA cable missing Series 3 1973 ??

Hi Doddsy Thanks for the information. Your logic is correct about the PDWA. The car is away being painted so I didn't have sight of the cables only some old photos I had taken some time ago. I saw the car this week and realised that the left hand side brake fluid cable is different to the right hand...

PDWA cable missing Series 3 1973 ??

Can anyone advise whether I should have a PDWA cable. The car is a Series 3 RHD 2+2 built June 1973. Chassis number is 1S51856BW. All I have is C37468 plug that the cable would fit into. The plug is hiding behind the brake fluid pipe in the photo. http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p415/ColinWeeks/I...
