Re: Ignition switch shroud C26851

Hi Richard,
I think I have an original cover but will have to find it in all my parts. From memory it is not in good shape so I will be interested in purchasing one from you when production ramps up.

This switch looks the same as c15270 switch which was fitted to all Mark 2 saloons fitted with the dg gearbox.

Re: v. late 3.8's

A person I got to know in the 90's who actually worked at Brown's lane as an upholsterer told me Jaguar never wasted anything. He said the cut off dates were not strictly adhered to. They would keep using the older part until is was totally gone . The date reflected the change date in theory but not...

Re: Door card attachment

Simon,
Sorry for the confusion in my previous post but the parts book lists 22 clips and 22 snapsacks . 11 of each per door although I have found on a couple of occasions Jaguar did not follow the parts book details.

Heat shield - how many clips ?

I have another question. The exhaust heatshield is listed in the parts book as C28201 and is listed as having a bracket b285582 which attaches to the lower frame. It lists this bracket as having ufs125/6r set screw attaching the bracket to the heat shield. My question is - does this bracket also hol...

Re: Oil pressure relief valve help needed

This oil filter housing is from a series2 fitted to later cars from eng. nos 7r2298 (swb) and 7e35583 (2+2) . There are ones available on Ebay but they are expensive.

Re: Hose clips

7/8" Hose clips were original on the Mark 2's previous to the straight port models. It may be worth checking with the Mark 2 people for a source . Jagara Spares in Sydney would be a good start.

Re: Reeeeally tempted..

One of the original Bathurst cars came to Tamworth a few years after the race. The body panels were acid dipped and were so thin that they were only held together by the paint ! The car was sold but I don't know where it ended up.
