Re: Cam Cover sealing...again
Hi Rory,
While I have to confess that I have no issues yet with the copper ones, I would be happy to grab two sets to put on the shelf for next cam setting session.
Dropping you a pm.
All the best,

Steve, you could try applying few shots of a freezing spray then pull it out with the pliers.
Last time I shimmed the valves I faced a similar situation and the spray released it.
Hope to have been of service.

Christopher, sagged engine mounts can result in similar symptoms, did you examine those closely?

Re: Dragging brakes.
Tom, how old are the brake pads and which brand? I had exactly the same behaviour few years back: the pads were a tight fit in the calipers and the iron had rusted a bit. With increasing temp they were binding progressively and would only release when cooled down. Dismantling, cleaning and filing th...

Alan, a ticking fuel pump does not necessarily imply fuel is properly delivered to the carbs.
I would double check that by unhooking the fuel feed line to the carbs (after the glass bowl), put it in a plastic bottle and turn ignition on to check the flow.

Re: Cooling fan options
Indeed Fosseway's is an integrated solution, but what I dislike is that the protective mesh is between the fan and the radiator, should be opposite, no?

Re: Cooling fan options
Thanks all for response. Have contacted KV: sadly no stock presently and would take few weeks to get one.
Guess it would be the same for a direct purchase at CoolCat.
Has anyone tried to just adapt on the standard motor another more efficient plastic propeller?

Cooling fan options
I am considering a trip to Italy early September. As the original fan and blade are fitted, have meanwhile been testing the car in traffic with the current prevailing temperatures >30C. Cruising on the open road at 3000rpm, temperature is stable at about 80C. When moving slowly in traffic it creeps ...

Re: Sovy Failure
Yes, luckily, after good cleaning and a session in the dishwasher (filter removed) now fitted since months. Of course will be monitoring regularly their condition, but so far so good. I am sure many bottles have been thrown away simply because they looked filthy, while they could have gone for many ...
