Re: RIP Andrew Waugh

Very sad indeed, my condolences to his family also. You are correct - he lived in a lovely little village called Eglisau, on the way towards the Rheinfalls in Schaffhausen if you head from the Zurich direction. We had a few conversations about meeting up over the course of my year in Basel but never...

Re: 4.2 seats and hood cover

Hi Chris Although I may be a young enthusiast, I do prefer originality. Certainly that is the case for this model anyway. I do want it to look as close to the original thing as possible. Not really in to these restomod things! If you don't mind, I might wait to see if anyone else has a slightly newe...

4.2 seats and hood cover

Morning all Bit of a specific question - but does anyone have a set of trimmed 4.2 seats which are out of the car that I could take some pictures of, please? The plan for my OTS model is to get a 3D model made from loads of pictures, which I can then use to 3D print a set of seats for my model. The ...

Breakfast Meeting - Sunday 1st September

In the words of Richard ('s email): Following on from a most enjoyable day out on our High Peak Run, we have decided to hold another small event this year; our intention is to have a breakfast meeting in the beautiful village of Tissington, Derbyshire on Sunday 1st September. This will be an informa...

Re: High Peak Run 2019

Thank you all for your kind words - I feel that we were particularly lucky with the weather. Richard and I got caught out in a short, sharp downpour on the return leg from the Barrel, but then again we didn't leave there until at least 6. I do try and make our runs good fun - just a bunch of nice pe...

Re: High Peak Run 2019

Hi Robbie

Sorry to hear that you couldn't make it again. I will send you a copy of this year's route once it's all ready to go, so that you can have a go in your own time anyway.

See you again soon

Re: High Peak Run 2019

Dear All

We now have 14 cars booked on from the E-type Club, plus ca. 6-10 from our local restorer (Paul Brown) likely to attend as well. Should be a good turnout

If anyone is still interested in joining us, then let me know!

I didn’t think so, but they are a common retrofit and I would quite like them on mine

OTS sun visors

Afternoon all Although I have found some lovely images for S1 OTSs with sun visors and I'm happy with the general profile of them, would somebody be able to provide me with the accurate dimensions of their sun visors please? I would like to get my 1:8 scale versions as good as I can for my model! Th...

Re: inside jaguar. xkss

I for one enjoyed the programme. Mark Evans was always slightly nuts beforehand (cf. a Car is Reborn, not that I mind!) but seemed a lot calmer on this one. I guess television moves on. The whole thing seemed (slightly) less pretentious than the LWE programme, where they were fussing over minor pain...

High Peak Run 2019

Posting here because nobody ever seems to look at the "Meet and Greet" section, and Angus got away with his post here too   This year's High Peak Run - Sunday 4th August - sees us starting at the Grouse and Claret, just off the A6 in Rowsley, near Chatsworth (DE4 2EB). Please arrive at 1...

Re: Open Day April 2019

Thanks to Angus and the team for a lovely morning out. Sorry we had to shoot a little early, but it was great to see some proper motors instead of messing around with the abominations I usually bang on about  Great to catch up with some familiar and no-so-familiar faces alike. Caught the site ...

Re: Open Day April 2019

All ready to go and very much looking forward to tomorrow :) Spent the entire day (no exaggeration) spring cleaning and detailing the Colt (wheels off, but no before and after shots  ) but happy to consign it to round the back for the sake of photos! http://i.imgur.com/5A2AN9r.jpg http://i.img...
