Hard top
Hi
Just wondered if using the hard top will mark/ scratch the paintwork on the rear section of the body ie where the top sits? That happened in my SL and so whilst the hard top looks good and is a solution for all year motoring I am slightly put off by the possibility.

Insurance - a salutory lesson
Morning, I recently cancelled an insurance policy on my Healey that was renewed only 2 months ago. The annual premium was ?150. I have just sold the car to free up funds to work on my S2 OTS and Landie. The operator informed me that that there was no refund on the 10 months unexpired portion of the ...

Hi...my rambling thoughts... Interesting reading....I agree that the rate in rise of S1s has or will slow down....however they will always be the most valuable in the range. However the article says that values of S2's has not risen....I have monitored the market in the UK over the last 2 years and ...

Who does it sell the information to then? The rules used to ensure that DVLA only provided information for the purposes of parking fines and traffic related enforcement etc. However in the last 18 months it has become apparent that they have relaxed the rules and now are less scrupulous about acces...

I would characterise it as a good probability that some of the over priced froth is blown off the classic car market. Good well restored cars may lose a little (but not crash) but the over priced ones with dodgy restoration or provenance will become less attractive to buyers and thus the prices will...

.
Technically of course black isn't a colour...
Of course in the reality of car paintwork Black is a colour, as it is not a pefect absorber of light.........eg A black object may look black, but, technically, it may still be reflecting some light. For example, a black pigment ...

Re: Hood colour
It must be a personality trait of mine but I don't follow the logic of the question. Wouldn't one molecule of paid-for personal preference outweigh a mountain of other people's opinion? Now if I was being offered a free trim and paint I might pretend to listen politely to my benefactors' su...

Hi I agree keeping fairly standard is good if just a road car....my planned mods will be very subtle and are aimed at getting a big more power usabilityy out of the car without losing flexibility or drivability. The XK engine was a very well developed piece of engineering and is great to drive as st...
