Re: Hello from New Zealand's newest member
:welcomewave: to the forum. An unmolested 62 S1 FHC is a rare find and sounds a great starting point especially if you have the time to do the research and get it to the level you want especially if you can keep it original and find the missing servicable used parts to restore. Wishing you all the b...

Re: Fuel tank cleaning
Hi Adrian, I had similar problems to you with my petrol tank, so I elected to get it professionally cleaned which in turn lead to 4/5 pin holes being found in the bottom rear corner. Solution was then to get it fully lined and it is now 100% again and re-installed in the car. If you need to get help...

Re: Best way to upgrade gearbox and/or diff
:yeahthat: I was in the same position as yourself over a year ago, no OD available for your car, 5 speed once you have done your reseach is really a mixed blessing and not an easy or cheap solution. So I opted to change my LS diff from 3.54 to 3.07 which keeps reasonable torque and give the car "lon...

Re: BHP of 4.2 engine.
I had my 4.2 engine with triple SU's fully rebuilt by Classic & Modern Engine Services in July 16 to full Jaguar standard specification, then ran it in over 1000 miles, had it fully tuned up on rolling road dyno by Classic & Race. It then produced the following figures on the dyno with the std drum ...

Re: Buying MWS wheels
Hi Carsten, I went for the 15 x 5.5J MWS competition centre laced wheels with standard tyres just stretched a little wider and lower, I have no powered steering and the usual slightly smaller Mota-Lita steering wheel. Handling is good, ride is compliant, wheels are stronger and it just widens the lo...

Re: Personalised number plates
We all know they're illegal if the spacing has been altered at all, wrong coloured studs used, etc. But everyone who buys therm does just that, otherwise why buy them? Have to disagree Malcolm, not everyone buys them to make them illegal ? :wow: We have three personal plates in our household, all s...

Hi Chris & :welcomewave: Be interested in seeing how you get on @ Spa, good to see early 3.8 cars out on the track.
