Re: Engine hoist load leveller

Hi
Nothing is impossible but it's certaily not easy to do by the side.
I did it several time by the front with a similar engine hoist 350kg at the last hole. I changed the sliding bar for a longuer one. Even if I decrease the possible weight, there is no problem, with a leveller it do the job.

Re: Identity of small bracket?

Hi Robbie
I think the one on the right is one off the two brakets for fixing the facia ( BD20566 )
The black one is certainly the "abutment clamp" #61 - plate 55 - C18571 / Control cable heater.

I don't recognise the other one.

Re: Engine hoist load leveller

Hi
Dont forget to buy also the part witch in on the hook ( see Richard's photos ) you need it to balance the weight of the engine/gearbox.

Re: SNG Barratt User Group

Hi Julian,
Just a double experience with the ref C16895 temperature sender.
The both I bought give a faulty temp. It's nearly the double of the real temp.
I was obliged to fit the old one wich is right.
Did you have some echo about this problem?

Re: Torsion bar help

Hi Neal,
They have been out of the car for nearly one year.
Your solution is the most logical.
I just bought a new pair but I'm going to set up the one I have.
Thanks!

Re: getting a wheel 'orf!

Hi
You could check if the spinner isn't a bad aftermarket in first.
If not, tighten normaly the spinner, do a short travel and try to undo it and see what will hapen.

Torsion bar help

Good morning everyone, I'm having a problem with my ride height. I used the tool according to the Jaguar 17"13/16 ( 45.24 cm ) drawing to adjust my original 1965 torsion bars which are in the right side L R. The bushes of the lower and upper wishbone and the anti-roll bar were tightened once the car...

Re: General Handling S2

Hi The E-Types are very flexible in suspension compared to your BMW. The brakes also have a very strongly accentuated distribution at the front. When you brake hard, the "mass transfer" causes the front to plunge and the rear to lift. If at this moment you give a big push on the accelerator, the rea...

Re: Engine rebuild - almost done!..

I bought a cheap rev conter connected to the coil
From the car I used the water temp and oil pressure dash, the power contact and the push to start the engine.
I also used a switch for an extra fan on the radiator.
Thats all

Re: Engine rebuild - almost done!..

Why don't you built a mini jig to put your engine on ? Built a small wiring. Connect the minimum of the exhaust. COnnect the radiator. Connect you fuel pump to a jerrycan and start your engine out of the car. You could also validate your clutch and gearbox. If here is a fault you'll can repair it re...
