I was about to do mine also. I added the Gear lever bush to the list as well - not sure if it is strictly necessary.

According to the parts catalogue the RHD models need 3 spacers BD.18957/1. LHD do not.

I had similar problems. A light strip down as per the Smith-Jaeger repair link posted by Andrew, and some light greasing (also on the cable sleave) fixed the issue.

Thanks Peter and David It's already in danger of turning into a restoration :wink: Looks like there are hairline cracks in the exhaust manifolds which will also need replacing. A checklist of Priority 1/2/3/OCD is almost needed. I think I shall leave the de-coking and the carbs intact for the time b...
