Re: Head port injection

Mangoletsi give a list of the UK dealers on their website. Perhaps one of them may have a definitive answer.

Re: Wheel: what Tightening torque

Thanks. Thinking on it some more, I know that O/S hub has definitely been replaced in the last 2 years. The other's I'm uncertain of their history. The aftermarket eared spinners have been off the car for over 2 years. Taking a look, I can definitely see the grease has not hit the end of the threads...

Re: Wheel: what Tightening torque

I have terrible knocking on the front O/S with a repro continental spinner. However, this is only noticeable with the Dayton wheels. The Realm D-type wheels are ok.

Do you know if Julian Barratt is aware of this? Where should the repros be shaved exactly? In the U channel around the centre?

Re: ProRace crankshaft damper - which belt?

Why not just order a belt sized according to the measurements you have taken instead of all the trial and error of various C.xxxx ones?

Re: Wheel: what Tightening torque

Have a look at Dave's video on youtube

If you look at the spinners, they loosen in the same direction as the forward motion of the car. It is the braking forces that would cause tightening (if any).

Re: Windscreen fitting south wales

When I enquiried about a year ago, the aerial was only standard and not a DAB one. Double check with pilkinington before if that is one of your criteria.

Re: Oil pressure gauge for stronger pump

The mechanical gauges that Steve suggested are the way to go. Also they go up to 100 PSI. M&C Wilkinson have them amongst others.

Re: Insurance

On my GT6 my renewal was £269 with Lancaster. Shopping around, I ended up back at Lancaster for £134 despite having a claim last summer that was my fault - I couldn't blame the lamp post despite Jasper Carrot's best advice.

Shame they didn't send 7 and you could have cut one open to check  Are these then with the bow-tie style logo etc.? Interesting they could get alternatives so quickly.

Re: Crunchy reverse gear

My mechanic usually bleeds from the clutch system by forcing fluid in at the nipple and pushing it up to the reservoir. Simply uses an "oil can" filled with brake fluid and a home made adaptor on the nozzle to the nipple. Bled in seconds.

Re: Clip on door frame mirrors

I find they do need re-tightening every so often as they loose some stiffness when they are moved around. Over 60 km/h the larger the service the more prone they are to being deflected inwards unless all the adjustment screws are very tight.
