Just had a full service and gearbox oil change done, and although my car is now MOT exempt, I thought it would be good practice to still have it done, result? 1 advisory of slight play in front wheel bearing.
Well happy with that, and the car runs like a dream!

Gritted roads!!!!
Took the E-type out for a 150 mile round trip of some of the best roads in Kent and East Sussex yesterday, the sun was out, took some great photo’s. The roads had been gritted, so I spent 15 minutes spraying hot soapy water under the car and around suspension components, can’t not drive the car on d...

Re: Heritage Throttle body injection
I am sorry if you thought I said that throttle bodies are boring... I was saying that the sterile, predictable, relentless relaibility of modern cars is what I find boring, I'm sure a V12 on throttle bodies with fuel injection is faster, more responsive, and more frugal than one on carbs. But I didn...

Re: Heritage Throttle body injection
Different strokes for different folks I guess, I find the escape from the electronic, digital world, with warning lights and sensors for everything to be quite refreshing, I like the fact that it takes some skill to get the car started and warmed in the correct fashion, explaining what a “choke “ is...

Re: Heritage Throttle body injection
Sorry I asked!, didn't know you could get a factory FI series 3, why weren't they all FI?
Don't you think carbs add a bit of old world charm, in a world of electronic fuel injection, where's the fun in that??

Am I missing something here? Why the need for FI on an engine designed to use carbs???
If you need modern running characteristics, then surely you driving the wrong car???

Re: Good painter in the southeast

I do my own painting and I'm pretty good at it but I don't do it professionally, but I know a quality job when I see one, and I have no hes...

Gearbox oil, leak ( moved from Series 3 forum)
I have noticed quite a bad oil leak from my '71 auto gearbox, would I be better going to an Auto gearbox specialist, or an E-type specialist?? Any recommendations in the southeast England area?
