Re: headlight failure

Okay before I go into the realms of fantasy, my headlights are not working on dipped beam, sides and full beam are fine as are the tail lights so 1. check bulbs (would it be normal for both to fail at same time) 2, check fuses (not sure if single fuse supplies all) 3 check dash switch ( if power go...

overwintering

Just trying to get people's views on overwintering their E-type, I plan to keep it outside with a decent outdoor cover fitted, in the belief that fresh air movement will be better than putting the car in a unheated garage, I base this on the fact that when I used to keep the Vantage in the garage, i...

Goodwood revival

Visited the revival on Saturday, diving across the muddy field was fun!
Don't know if I'm just getting old, but seems to me that the event is getting over subscribed!!! Never seen it so busy, difficult to get anywhere worth being at, maybe a victim of it's own success??

Re: E-type Zero

Am I missing something here? Just got back from Goodwood, where the overriding memories are of the blood and thunder of the classics, the noise was deafening, the fumes, overpowering...... It was heaven, I don't buy into global warming and electric cars at all.... Load of old rubbish?, Petrol, and Ca...

Re: sound of the v12

What Mr Bywater said was that the original headers weren't that bad a design in principle because the three cylinders they each served fired 240' apart and didn't interfere with each other. His headers simply extend each group of three. The reason to do that would be to consider the exhaust as a tu...

Anyway, I knew it needed painting, my query is, who should I use, preferably in Kent???

Haven't had the car long, in fact this would have been only the 3rd cold start I had carried out. Went like this...Full choke, turned over for 10 seconds and started lovely, tick o...

Re: Meet up at Summer Events

I'll be at Goodwood on Sept 9th. For the last two years JLR have had priority parking in the Classic Car car park, closest to the entrance. I'm hoping they do again this year. BTW, nice car you have. Are those 16 inch wheels? Does this priority parking need to be booked, or just turn up, I have got...
