Yes Peter...i would like to see a photo of whats been done to Julians car to get the o/d fitted.......if nothing else i would reccomend that Jullian gets the area fully inspected and if needed o/d removed and the area put back to standard.......I dont know how long his o/d has been fitted but there ...

Hi Jonathan......the service manual is vague in its description...but yes the pushrod should go fully in...this is the position it should be when you set the adjustment for the thrust clearance. ....so if it isnt fully retracted by the spring the clearance wont be there and the thrust will be in con...

Hi Rob.....if i were you i would put up a new post in the technical section. .......Gearbox optinons for a FHC........you should get some answers...im not sure on the xj6 box becaus i dont know what tail section it has.....most are o/d boxes and as said not a straight fit plus you would need a diffe...

I would think the huge canister type piece sticking out the side would cause problems fitting it into a 2+2....but if your prepared to start cutting metal its up to you.....but why would you want a 3 syncro.....Steve

Hi Rob.....even fitting an o/d box into a 2+2 you will need to ease the tunnel a bit for the speedo drive.....your in a reasonable position with no engine gearbox fitted.....so offer one up into position and see what needs to be done...Steve

Hi Marek.....The original post is about a change in registration......the vehicle has been sustantially altered therefore legaly this should be notified to the DVLA.....who have already withdrawn registration from a 2+2 that was converted to a roadster that i know of and refer to in the link i poste...

Hi Steve...never heard of Dzus calipers.....so maybee they need more fluid to move the pads?.....bleeding causes many a problem so wouldnt be supprised if you still have air....Steve

Hi Peter the clip is not to stop the filter moveing.....you assemble all the parts onto the bolt (not the filter) then fit the clip onto the bolt........now none of the parts can fall off........now slide on tthe filter and fit....if you dont have a clip no real problem unless you pick up the unit a...

Have you adjusted the clutch pushrod as per the service manual......contacts in high torque starter motor...they are quite crude in some starters...Steve
