Re: S3 hub cap medallion for S1 horn push?
Hello Tadek, this must be the post that Steve was looking for http://forum.etypeuk.com/viewtopic.php?p=65988#p65988 I have bought a set of hubcap centres, but the gold looks lighter than even on the replica horn push medaillions. On the plus side: the diameter fits and the ears of the growler are wi...

Re: Tyres
Hi Don & David, I just had to make this tyre decision myself, but opted for the Michelin XVS 185/80R15V on 5" rims because I like the pizza cutter appearance (I had Yokohama 205/70R15 on 6" before). I was told by two independent sources (my tyre dealer and my restorer), that the Michelins age slower...

Re: Boot Board Hinges
your three hinges should be BD20131
Fitted from Chassis No.
860581 to 861098. 886093 to 888301.
The later hinge is BD24400
Fitted to Chassis No.
861099 and subs. 888302 and subs.
BTW BD23142 is for the hinged panel striker and not a hinge.
Hope this helps,
Klaus

Re: Trim question...
Just notice, that this is an "ancient" posting, but I post my question anyway...
Hi Chris,
but isn't this what you describe Hardura? Hardura is an embossed PVC coated fibre mat. What is on the back side of the material that you have found? My '63 was supplied by Aldrige with an Hardura mat.

Re: Help with rear boot trim
Hello Chris,
your trimmer is probably referring to this extruded trim piece.

I don't think that it's available in red

Re: New ashtray panel fitting problem.
Hi Richard, the problem is the ashtray bracket. I just measured mine (old) and it is 240mm wide between the mounting flanges, both sides centred. The distance between flanges (240mm) is shorter than the width of the front panel by about 4mm (incl. vinyl). Otherwise you would see gaps. I had my fun t...

Re: Radio console - speaker cover panels for 3.8
Hi Richard, how is the conversion to aluminium trim coming along? My FHC is 889633 and I will do the same, but keep the PU leather trim from Aldrige for a swap at any time later. I found that the radio console on my car has 2 upper fixing points with screws (for the knurled type BD17589) and two low...

Outside, like shown on your 2nd picture (taken from above) is correct. I have my quarterlights out and just had a look in my garage.

I see! The forum helps not only with car problems, but can also ease health problems. I had never heard of Man-Flu before

First new member 2018?
I own my 63 FHC for 21 months and only now came across this forum. Admittedly, I have never searched the net for one. I hope that my questions will not bore you to death and I promise to search through older posts. Right now my E sits in my small shop and I have started to install a new interior. I ...
