The Coolcats radiator fan conversion has been done! http://www.coolcatcorp.com/V12Fan/V12Fans.html We did it slightly differently from the coolcats suggested method - I will explain later. The fans were purchased new from Ebay at the cost of about ?28.00 each. They are VW motors for the Jetta or Gol...

I'm inclined to go with Bluecol as I know it is an anti freeze, an inhibitor and it was recommended when the car was new. Probably add as suggested a bottle of water wetter. Thanks for all your input guys.

What Anti Freeze to use?

I have a V12 E Type. I have a small leak from my Rad so am going to get it re-cored. When I re-fill it what Anti Freeze do you recommend. I was thinking of getting Bluecol as this was the recommended type at the time of manufacture and it is still produced today. What do you think?

Thanks Pete, sounds like they should both be blocked off. If it's only an emmissions issue can't see the point. I wonder how many of these actually work on our cars anyway!

Thanks Pete, I now need to find the point on the manifold where the rubber pipe fits. Plus I have a small issue that the A/C valve is missing on one side and there is a plastic stent joining the two rubber pipes (in & out) inside the air filter box. I presume I should have anothe A/C valve in there....

Hi Pete, There are vacuum pipes that go from the front section of each air filter box just before the rubber connectors to the trumpet section, to somewhere? (I presume these go to the manifold?) Then some vacuum pipes go into the centre of the air filter section, one routes via an AC valve in the m...

Vacuum Hoses/Pipes to Air Filter Boxes. V12

Hi, has anyone got a diagram of where all the pipes and hoses go from the carbs to the V12 air filter boxes. I have taken the whole thing apart for restoration and am now trying to fathom out where all the pipes and hoses go and I can't find reference to them in the books I've got. Thanks. Mi...

Thanks Pete, I think they may have been replaced at sometime. Think I will either leave them "as is" or possibly put a bit of silver on them. I am a driver not concourse entrant, but still want the car to look presentable and correct where possible. Mike

Colour of Brake Calipers

Hi, can anyone tell me the colour of front brake calipers on the series 3 V12.
Car is currently totally stripped in process of re-build and I have the chance to re-paint the calipers. They look Gold but wasn't sure if this is correct as there are signs of silver there as well.
Thanks
Mike
