Thanks for ideas. As both fans are not running I'm guessing that it has to be a fuse, the relay or the thermostat. It would be highly unlikely to be both fans failing at the same time. Although I tend to agree that a modern alternative to keeping the temperature down would be an advantage. Will need...

Series 3 V12 Running Hot

Hi, I took the E out this afternoon for a short run as the sun was out ! :) On getting stuck in some traffic the temperature gauge started to rise and got to about three quarters on the dial. Dave, I have taken a few photos of the pipe but can't put them on this site as I don't have a photobucket account. But I think that you could be right about the part number. It sort of looks right! I don't have a parts book but I do have the CD version.
Cheers

It looks as though it runs from the gearbox to an intercooler. (It's an Auto Box). the rubber hose connects two metal pipes and I be...

Hi All, just registered for the forum and wanted to say Hi !! :) I have recently bought an E Type series 3 V12 1973. It is in reasonably sound condition but needs a bit of work as it has only done 2000 miles since 2001 when it had a huge engine re-build at a cost of ?12k :o I would have like to have...
