As above . It well could be a broken / breaking up carbon thrust bearing seen a few go bandy that wasn't that old over the last couple of years , it is Posible to look up at the carbon through the inspection hole in the bell housing at the bottom

Have you checked and cleaned ALL earth points ( even run a temp jump lead from earth pole to engine ) and main 12v lead too

anyone know what parts or if there is a kit of parts for putting a more modern 4 speed auto behind a V12 as opposed to the 3 speed auto box
They come as standard ,
