Hi i had same problem fitting my servo it does go in but its a puzzle it took me quite a while trying it different ways to get it in i walked away for a pot of tea when i came back it went straight in keep at it it will go in

Burlins do a spacer offset for when SU carb conversion is fitted order one off them save u making one it just mounts master cylinder at slightly different angle

If you rev engine while reading dwell if it changes quite a bit dist is worn it should stay virtually the same

Hi it may have had a boot floor panel in at some time and they haven't blocked off the pipe as boot floor is made to fit FHC and convertible

Hi they connect to the drain tubes at each side of the boot gutter to take away water that gets down the gap on the boot lid to body

Hi before u go any further check the engine earth strap if its loose or not connecting good the engine may have earthed through the throttle cable causing it to get red hot and melt together just a thought

Hi looks same as s3 i have done 2 s3 i cut through outer tube just below switch spun it round there is a hole where the contact for the horn goes through in fact there is two holes one for each way when lined with other hole it is in right place i didn't dismantle the column then got a local welding...
