Hi.......first thoughts are to check the fuel flow comming out of the filter.disconnect on the carb side & run the pump an old /blocked filter will reduce the flow & could cause fuel starvation on acceleration.Steve

Hi Dave..Dont know much about axle ratios so out of interest why are you changing........I thought that decreasing the ratio from 3.77 to 2.88 would rean more rpm to achive the same speed... am i missing something? Steve

Hi David....Had no overheating problems on the trip........the fault is definatly not in the ignition......once one side of the dual pump was identified as faulty i could run on one pump ok...but when reconnected somehow the second pump would interfeer with the fuel flow from the good one causing th...

What...No one out there with any ideas? One half of the fuel pump was workink intermitanlly replaced the pump fault cleared...Steve

Hi.....should the D shaped washers be fitted to the 4.2 or only the 3.8 my S2 2/2 has round washers? Thinking of jobs for the winter and the lists getting longer....some tappet noise i think so if the head comes off will replace the washers?...Steve

Thanks.......Will try the mesh. in the meantime have cut a disc of filter wool as used in aircon units and fitted to the air intake on the bonnet directly above where it mates to the mesh ......seems to work but will need pulling out on occasion to clean out...Steve

Hi All......Have a 1969 S2 2/2. Whenever I lift the bonnet there is a pile of dead flies etc sitting on the top grill of the heater box....this results in lots of bits of dead flies ect comming through the top dash screen vents....should or is there a filter that fits in the bonnet air intake..Thank...
