Hi all Just getting to the engine installation bit of my early ‘62 OTS I’m keeping everything original and want an original exhaust for a 3.8 From what I hear (above) I think I need an original mild steel exhaust with the standard chromed resonators 3.8 length)? Questions: 1 I’m not quite clear why ...

I pretty sure those are the only two places..certainly on a S1
The 4figure “body number” can be found in all sorts of places …IMHO it is often the more genuine identifier. ie front frames can be restamped and data plates re made

Robbiee On the S1, there are two seals that are riveted with thin metal strips to the duct. Or at least should be installed. You see quite a number of restored cars that don’t, or have them fitted incorrectly. When I was looking for reference pics, some had them on the outer faces, some on the inne...

I believe this is correct
Also I think a couple of pieces of the rubber “skirt” with short metal plates go on the sides of the air duct too…I still have to work out exactly where

I got a rad tech they will powder coat the sides and top and leave the core plain …I believe this I’m is more like the original finish
