It is one of the options being considered by myself and a friend who is ...

Re: EDIS question
On this theme, Does anyone have experience of the chap in Norway, Ole, who sells a single unit to do all ignition control in a “normal” or a wasted spark system? In one variant he discards the distributor completely. https://mobeck.com/jaguar-v12-efi-kit/ Looks interesting but several questions spri...
Re: Cosmetics
Bayton Road is a really popular with local restorers.
They do respect wishes and do their best for the "little guy". Added to that.sensible prices. What's not to like ?
Some of the big names in "CAT".restoration use them.

Re: Cosmetics
Steve, Yes it is, but knowledge is never wasted. I’ve used black implement enamel before....just wondered. Plating, well that’s another question, my,experience with the RREC is that for some parts plating can be a problem, particularly in the case of stressed tempered parts due to Hydrogen embrittle...

Hello all..I’m no metallurgist so here goes. I’m thinking of taking advantage of the “strip down” in lock down, do do a little cosmetic work. I’m not doing the full concourse prep thing, to this effect I’m thinking of getting stuff powder coated here and there, simply because I can, knowing the tors...

Wanted Rotisserie
Forum, I’m having to do unplanned major remedial work on my S3 OTS. I have an appointment with a niece and church this time next year,.... Has anyone got a rotisserie that I can beg, steal, borrow, or buy ASAP. I have spent many hours during lockdown so far, getting the tub free of rubberised...

Re: S3 Fuel Expansion Tank
Now I am confused... The thing shown in the closeup is approx 20mm long and at least 15mm dia on the body. The hole in the sump floor is 5mm how do the two marry? Why is it the shape it is? I plan to get rid of the expansion tank and just have one small breather coming out of the top of the fuel fil...

Re: Distributor Flash guard
Thanks Dick for that, I should mention that in the original post I forgot to say that I have an efi v12 from an XJS that had done 42k miles when it was removed, following an RTC! So perhaps the seal, if it’s there, is ok. I’ll take a look when I’ve got to the engine , at the moment I’m into the body...

Re: S3 Fuel Expansion Tank
Well it came out with a little help of a large blunt screwdriver. Thanks Bob. Haven’t found any restrictions in the pipes but have found two round welded plates at the same points on the top of the wheel arches? Anyone have any ideas? :scratchheadyellow: https://i.postimg.cc/1zHscrhm/113-D3143-5-A6-...

Re: S3 Fuel Expansion Tank
Following this link..
Could someone tell me how to get this expansion tank out from under the n/s/r body.
I’ve removed the two little screws that were apparently holding it, in but now it just rattles a bit but will not come out. I want it out to blast the body.
