Re: Connecting a trickle charger

Your photos show 2 different plugs...doubt you can find an adaptor that fits both...but who knows..I would rewire a socket by the dash to fit your ctek plug....Steve

Re: Lazy Starting

Pull out choke...dont touch the throttle pedal...start car...for a quicker start ensure battery is fully charged and carb choke mechanism is set correctly....dont forget in the 60s we used to get our mates to give us a push start

Re: Connecting a trickle charger

Befor I plugged a charger into it I'd make sure its connected to the battery...strange place to have a charge socket as you then need to have the charger lead running through the door?

Re: Series 1.5 carburettor setting

Re: New clutch and thrust bearing

You cannot standardise these measurements...it will depend on the application....there are various different clutch covers that have different dimensions from the flywheel face to the thrust bearing pad face....its really up to the installer to check that everything works correctly...dont just purch...

Re: S2 pre engaged starter solonoid

Hi Tom.. Thanks for posting I didn't realise that the solonoid operated initially through the brushes...I though that as the solonoid operated interal contacts then activated the motor via the brushes....hence the old school bang the starter if you can hear the solonoid operate but the starter dosnt...
