Im just looking at worst case senario. Will check bore condition when i strip unit,but have found re rubbering only puts of replacing for a short time.

I have always used Duckhams Q20/50, which gave good oil pressure. Now no longer made, so need some advice on which is the best choice. Penright HPR30, Millers Classic 20/50, or Castrol XL 20/50. Thanks for any advice. Adam

Hi, Revcounter died 2 day! i have removed black cap from revcounter generator and found a broken wire, are they a servicable part ie do they come apart to be able to replace wire or is it a case of replacing whole unit.
Any advice would be welcome, please!

Hi thanks for the advice,i had the problem of some movement of column when cold hardly any when car warm. So thats normal.On another note just picked up a copy of classic cars for sale,found pictures of my car just before i bought it in the jaguar e type assessment section.Looks much cleaner now.

From 860863 they changed the Bushes and these are the ones I am looking for. Are they the 'Vulkollan' material and same as the 4.2?

Hi can anyone tell me which bushes i need. My car chassis number is 861007 jaguar parts book lists c20090 upper bush c20091 lower bush. sng dont seem to list them, only felt for 3.8 or plastic 4.2 but not the later 3.8. Thanks Adam.

Thanks for the info, sadly mines not the early one.I have had better results with staining wood then varnishing, rather than using coloured varnish.Adam

Hi, can anyone tell me the best way to refinish the wood on my steering wheel? Mine has just started to wear thin in a couple of places.

Also, what is the right colour? I have seen various colours from the natural wood, oak to almost mahogany.
