Re: Door mirrors
Friends : I have never once in my life heard the expression, "life saver check". If it works for individuals for years , either in addition to using the mirror, or without, it is potentially dangerous. I won't go over my years of experience driving in NYC in cars, and on motorcycles. I won't discuss...

Re: Waterless coolant
Stay away...for sealed, or race engines. Not needed, and perhaps even dangerous , for the everyday street motor. I would rather my car all of a sudden run hot, so I could stop, and look into the problem, and fix it. Evans could mask a problem until damage is done. Waste of money for us.

Re: Evans Waterless Coolant
You are right on the money.....it could mask a problem, and damage could occur. Stay away...great for race cars, not meant for street cars, despite the great marketing pitch. One other silly point......suppose your on the road, and a small coolant leak occurs. You quickly fix it, but a bit of the Ev...

Re: Door mirrors
I am a big believer of mirrors on both sides. I bought my series 3 new, and it had the beautiful adjustable mirror on the drivers side of course. I had the Jaguar factory send me the adjustable from -the-inside door mirror for the right side.....their driver side. Perfect match ! Looks great, and so...

Re: Gearbox removal in 35 mins
Can only speak for Series 3, long wheel base of course, but dropping gearbox is done without disturbing engine. Sorry can't speak for short wheel-base cars. On the Series 3....yup, certainly be done in less then an hour with a lift, and an extra set of experienced hands.

Re: Series 3 v12 engine and gearbox refit
Are they both out now ? If so , you can drop engine in by itself, then attach bell housing , gearbox, etc., once engine in. Lots of discussion on this subject under Series 3. Trick will be to shorten driveshaft, and replace removed section with telescopic piece, and re balance shaft. About $100US. F...

Re: Changing a clutch a 9 to 5 job !
Hi Steve: Sorry, but no pictures. Frankly, wondering what you want pictures of ? A couple of guys removing the gearbox, sliding on a new clutch and pressure plate, and shoving the box back in ???? Its much too simple to record with pictures. You don't photograph oil changes I hope. Not much more com...

Re: Anyone use the clip on mirror knob?
I have no experience with this knob, but looks like a fix. If it does not work, send it back...XK's is good about returns. Seems to me your down side risk is the price of shipping ! Give it a shot. Good luck !

Hello all: Gang of smart fellow's here on this forum ! In no particular order......there is no advantage to changing manifolds....Jag actually did a great job for a street car. I absolutely love the look of those beautiful straight pipes !! My 2 cents worth of advice, as I stated in an earlier post,...

Re: s3 under bonnet air scoop
Assuming the car is drive-able, and in reasonable condition, if you put it up on a lift, its not a complicated job. That's how I did it, took about one morning. But I had to do it because I drove my car into a high curb ; I was not in mid-restoration, with perhaps the hood removed. However, that wou...

Re: Electric E-type from Jaguar
Where did you get the full charge range? The charging time needed? Where are they available ? Perhaps those are the numbers for now. But just like Tesla, they will improve dramatically as the car and power unit are developed. Or should all progress be stopped ? Don't think so. I think the modernizat...

At the right price, every car will sell. Does the market fluctuate, of course, like everything else. That in mind, every car can be sold in a timely manor.
Good luck !

Re: Electric E-type from Jaguar
Now boys.......stop and think....are they going to build NEW bodies for the electric cars ??? Of course not. The factory is doing what Beachum Jaguar in NZ did.....just use an old vin # . Eagle does the same. The factory has plenty of relics to restore to order, including an electric E. Or bring you...

Park for hours ? Not at all. And for total convenience, plug her in, any where, while you sleep. Great stuff ! The most beautiful car ever built has been brought into the 21st century . Brave Jaguar / TaTa !!
