I replaced mine using heater hose. Submerged it in brake fluid for a month first with no ill affects. DO NOT use fuel hose as it is not compatible with brake fluid. I'm talking Dot 3/4 fluid, can't comment on silicone fluid if you are using that. Pete Eek! If a heater hose fails you get cold if the...

The only question you need to ask yourself if you are going to fit Webers is "Do I like the smell of petrol?" On a road car they will make no difference to performance but will dramatically increase fuel consumption and be a pain to keep in tune. After a few miles you will also feel sick! Stick to t...

Two things: The SU electronic pump is very reliable and a direct replacement for the existing one. This means no mucking about fabricating brackets, wiring etc. Secondly the SU carbs want no more than 3.5psi of pressure presented to them. The Facet and other after market pumps go way beyond this req...

John You can buy DIN plugs here: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=din%20plug&source=15&SD=Y Alternatively you could buy a new vintage look radio with an iPod connector/charger FM and a decent 60 watts per channel. The Blaupunkt will produce about 6 watts! This is what I did and it works ...

I use the ITG Air Filter System to good effect: http://www.rob-beere-racing.co.uk/induction.html#filter
Remember you will need to change the carb needles (U0 I seem to recall) if you go for these type of filters or any open trumpets. Rob Beere includes the correct ones with his ITG filter set.

Simplest immobiliser is to put a switch in the boot to isolate the fuel pump. You can buy a key switch if you want to be extra sure e.g.: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=2457&C=Maplin&U=SearchTop&T=key%20switch&doy=1m3 I had a proper state of the art electronic immobiliser on my car for...

I had exactly the same problem. It is the low pressure hoses (usually black with yellow stripe) that 'sweat' fluid after about 5 years. The fluid touches the frame and removes the paint. You need to replace the hoses promptly preferably with the ones SNG Barratt supply as they will not sweat over ti...
