Rebuilding the bonnet
During the respay process , I'm wondering when do the different parts under the bonnet have to be glued back to the central panel. -on the bare metal? -after the first coat of primer, with or without a sanding? -after the final coat of color? And which product has to be used to glue the parts? Thank...

Re: Broken engine mount
Hi Philip,
is it your car ? I can see that this one has not got the changes done on your OTS with megasquirt. Do you plan to remove the carbs and fit EFI on the engine ?
Regards
Michel

Re: Front ride height/Torsion bars and tool
Hi Simon I understand that you have to move somewhere 1 spline. 2 parts on the torsion barre are used as reaction brackets. At the front there are 24 splines and at the rear 25. I would move one of the bracket to gain 1 spline and then be able to fine tune the height of the car with the cam adjuster...

How many S3
Hy all
I would like to know how many E type per serie and particularly the S3 have sold in the different countries.
Does someone have this kind of data or knows where to get them.

Happy or not with eBay.
I'm restoring at a turtle speed an S3 FHC from 1971. I'm looking regularly on eBay sites from the US, UK and Germany as I still needs some parts. Sometime you win and sometime you do not. For the last purchase I have done on eBay UK, I’m very happy. I was looking for a chip solution for the propshaf...

Re: Gauge face
Hello Christopher, Thank you for your message. The specific support used has a surface which reacts with the water. When the transfer is dry, it is quite impossible to remove it without scrubbing . I’ve tried to soak it into the water several hours without success. When I've removed the transfer, th...

Re: Gauge face
After a feedback from Jonathan, I've searched on the internet to get a solution to do the work all by myself. I've found a way with a white A4 specific paper support. I've printed on the front faces I've done on my laptop. After a first test I've done the 4 gauges using this solution. The result sou...

Re: XJS engine on the E Type
Hi Marek,
thanks for your remarks.
I'm going first to look at the jag-lovers.org site as you propose.
Am I right saying that you have chosen Megasquirt to manage your engine instead of the Jag ECU?
Cheers

Re: V12 engines
I agree with MarkE, V12 are very cheap when coming from cars other than E Type. In other words, the specific bits from the E give the value to the engine because a quite good XJS or other saloon car engine is a cheaper base to be converted into a usable engine for the E than restoring an threadbare ...

Re: Solution to use a latter V12
Hello Marek
Great if you have all the bit! I did have all of them also and I ve modify my xjs engine for my own etype.
For sure your message will interest someone.
However, this system sounds to me an interesting alternate.
