:yeahthat: assuming the damper is out when you do it..as you lift the piston you should be able to tell if the needle is lifting straight out of the jet and not scraping on the sides....Steve

Yes..correct..fuel should be about 5/16in down the jet.......Steve

Sounds like the float chamber needles arnt closeing so the fuel overflows up the jet....could be the floats not adjusted correctly or you have floats that are filling up with fuel and not floating or the needle valves arnt sealing correctly...Steve.....note that you should be able to remove the su c...

Open the bonnet and look at the fan belts..they go around the crank. Waterpump. Alternator air con and power steering pump which has the reservoir attached....also look at the knowledge base section....parts catalogues and service manual all the info there you could possibly need...Steve

As Andrew mentions above..the parts catalogue is you friend..the drawings dosnt show shims (only caliper mount bolt shims)...the section in the service manual refering to removeing/refitting the steering arm also covers the calipers and mentions shims....I think the shims are for the latter....Steve

What's your name....please try to put it with your car model in the signture area....what bellhouseing/gearbox do you have....the Jaguar parts catalogue will show the correct part number....dont forget that suppliers are ofter selling aftermarket parts and listing them with the Jaguar part number......

Hi Ross...to be honest the best tool to use on the 3 ear spinner adaptor as a standard type steel lump hammer and mentioned previously in this thread...these spinners can ne really hard to undo... I put a piece of old denim(jeans) over the spinner then fit the adaptor..then a few good whacks with th...

Coppa slip in my opinion is ok.....on the thread and splines....its not reccomended on the taper mating surface of the wheel and hub........this is becaus grit/dirt can easily get on a greased surface and prevent a perfect wheel to hub mate.......personaly i very lightly copa slip but before fitting...
