Mask off choke and spray lightly with black wrinkle finish...it will look brand new ! Easy. Yup, keep that cable lubricated ! Its funny that Jag always called it a choke, as it is not a choke...it simply to hold the carb open a bit to make it more drivable when you first start a cold engine.

Most anything will do that will service an older GM power steering pump, as , of course, that's what they are.

Always a matter of opinion, but Dot 3 has worked for me for years. These are street cars, not race cars, so a higher boiling point unnecessary.

One trick is to keep relatively fresh rubber O rings to hold up exhaust. Also, after replacing them, tie them up in the middle with a small tie wrap. Keeps them from slipping off, and gets you just a tinny bit more clearance. I use 215 /70/15 on my car for years...never a problem.

Always figure one lbs. of oil pressure, for every 100 rpm's. Also, replace , certainly in a V12, the Smiths electric sender and gauge, with a mechanical Smiths set up. Easy, and accurate.

Remove rear silencer (under trunk), store it as far back in your garage as possible, so you wont be tempted to put the dumb, rust prone, ugly thing, back on the car. Now simply drive to your nearest muffler shop, and have them build...

Listen to Marek...he is about as knowledgeable on E-types as they come, especially Series 3. He is spot on regarding Bar's....it will eventually clog up your radiator....stay away.
