Re: Electrics, wiper motor
Hi John. I have not done it myself but it is almost surely doable as there is a small wiring harness available for sale. I see it periodically on ebay plus have seen it listed in the catalogue of one of the common vendors. Can’t remember which one.

Hi Welcome to the forum. My 3.8 is a UK right hand drive that somehow ended up out here in the colonies. Bit of a novelty here in Canada.

Welcome. Have you already inspected the car or is it sight unseen? Either way here is hoping it exceeds your expectations. Purchasing an e-type is always exciting

Re: S1 4.2 Rear Exhaust without expansion box
Have you considered that while you may like the sound of loud engines the vast majority of the people who inhabit the areas you drive through do not. If you are using your car for track purposes I say go for it, but for the average street driven car the quieter the exhaust note the happier the gener...

Re: Door drop glass seal gets dragged under
Try a little silicone spray on the seal to reduce the friction of the rubber. It will streak the glass for awhile but will clean up after a few cleanings. With luck your seal will remain non sticky enough after one or two applications.

Blasting media
I am a new member to the forum and cannot find a definitive answer about blasting media in the archives. My ots is mounted on a rotisserie with the box sections opened up in preparation for a trip to be blasted to bare metal. As I am not a big fan of warped body panels I am wondering if anyone has e...

Re: Idiot Calling - diesel in E type
Diesel in the tank seems to be a fairly common mistake. As I have my car presently completely dismantled I was thinking of putting a restrictor plate in the filler a few centimetres down from the top to prevent the larger diesel nozzle from entry. Does anyone know if such a thing is produced commerc...

Retry on the pics. Mounted on rotisserie and ready to take to the blasters when the weather improves. I have had no response to my question about recommendations for media type. Should I be posting that under a different forum heading? https://s18.postimg.org/g3q5othvt/848_AA26_E-2_E02-407_D-_A44_B-...

Stu. Not so much greedy as poor impulse control! A little history. I bought the first e back in the early nineties. It is the 4.2ots that I am working on now. I was seduced by the car and didn’t realize that it was really a pos car that had a previous restoration done very poorly. Typical sob story....

Hello everyone. I have been an E-type owner in Western Canada for over 25 years. Thought it was time to join the forum instead of just lurking and reading all the posts. I retired 8 years ago and am finally getting around to restoring the 2 e types and one xk 120 that have been taking up garage spac...
