yep, I've got one on the V12, and had no problems. Mine came through SNG I think, might pay to compare prices.
It opens up the front of the engine nicely,

Re: SRS 2 BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
Hi Guys Further to the above post. The problem a number have faced is the sticky, slow return of the master cylinder, gradually getting worse as the engine heats up. This was certainly my problem and got worse with time. So now since taking the measures outlined above I have done several 50km or so ...

Re: timing chain replacment
So if doing all that work, follow Marek’s advice, take off bonnet, remove radiator, cam covers etc and take off the front cover.
A joined chain is no issue, just get the joiner going in the right direction.
Do a search, and there are plenty of threads on the issue
Cheers

Simple answer yes. Join it to the old chain and feed it through carefully.

Re: Dragging brakes.
Well not quite, problem lessened initially, but then returned.
Finally, overhauling a sticky master cylinder has cured the problem. It appears that the mc was sticky and slow to return from new.
See my write up under the general forum.

Re: SRS 2 BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
Hi Guys Well fitted up the overhauled master cylinder with the looser bearing, as described above, and a stronger spring in the reaction valve. Probably didn’t need the stronger spring but I understand some top jag outfit in the UK recommend it, so while your in there why not. Have to say the brakes...

Re: SRS 2 BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
Hi I just saw the mention of Caparo master cylinders sticking and it rang a bell with me. I fitted one to my S3 about 3 years ago and have since suffered from slow release of brakes gradually getting worse. I cleaned the reaction valve piston twice to no effect, changed the servo, then finally the m...

Re: master cylinder assembly diagram
Hi Guys I took your advice Ole and did a bit of rounding of that plate. I also used heaps of red rubber grease during assembly. The final step was to install a stronger spring in the Reaction valve. One problem that I encountered during assembly was with the large bearing at the front of the piston,...

Re: master cylinder assembly diagram
Further to my previous post I found an excellent video on YouTube https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=13ZoC5Yp3iE This vid covers all important aspects of the disassembly and overhaul. It has the piston seals in the same order as the S3 repair manual, which is at odds with the diagram above. However the d...

master cylinder assembly diagram
Hi Guys Has any one fitted a repair kit to a S3 master brake cylinder? I have the seal kit from SNG which comes with a diagram like this https://i.postimg.cc/28LVhJRY/MC-rebuild-diagram.jpg However when looking in the repair manual there are several differences in the order of parts on the piston. t...

Re: Dragging brakes.
Hi guys
I did the reaction valve piston clean with no improvement.
This left the booster as the culprit. This had been overhauled once before, so I decided to replace it with a new one. Problem solved.
Thanks for the help.

I got one for my S3 and they are most knowledgeable, down to correct one for the model year. It has performed flawlessly for 10 years.

Thanks Tom
I’ll check out the grease thing. I’m going to polish up the little piston and the bore with some 2000 grit wet and dry sandpaper.

Re: Dragging brakes.
Hi Tom Thanks for your detailed analysis. My front brakes were sticking after a hot drive, so I thought it must be the servo with a sticking piston, so replaced the servo, no improvement. I had discounted the reaction valve piston as I had lubed it with red rubber grease a year ago. However I though...

Re: Dragging brakes.
hi guys Tom how did you get on with your diagnosis of the brake problem. I have almost identical symptoms, with the front brakes sticking I suspected the booster so replaced it, but the symptoms persist. Im going to lubricate the master cylinder reaction valve next. Thinking of dismantling and clean...

Re: Engine stand reservations
Hi Colin I used a less substantial stand than yours. The problem that surfaced was when turning the engine over a crack was noticed in the area at the rear where the bolts support the engine. So we supported the engine with a piece of timber under the sump. https://i.postimg.cc/KvjjZhqK/D79-C1588-56...

Re: 3.07 2.88 CWP
Hi guys My car has a 2.88 and a Getrag 5 speed. The reason a lot of cars get the 2.88 is that they sound too high revving with the original diff. I put the 2.88 in with the original 4 speed, but it still sounded too high revving to me, you always wished for another gear, hence the Getrag box. Severa...

Hi Take a look at the kit produced by poster Marek He is uk based, might be relevant after brexit  I have seen the kit and it is high quality, it has one major advantage over the one referenced above in that marek supplies new diagphram plates, at the back of the bowl, so no cutting is require...

Hi Mark
Another option I used is black PVC tape, about 50 mm wide, which can be applied in a nice smooth liner.
I did have trouble with finding the right size tubes down here in NZ
