Hi all competed at the weekend on my E at Brighton speed trials yep a good day , beat my P.B twice and had a jolly good time , a vid from inside the car

Nice and tight will do , not quiet FT , ( FT is for hub nuts , starte rmotors , and bell housing bolts erc )
And once driven for 500 or so miles check and retighten to nice and tight , or an imperial grunt .

Hi Jeremy , yes initially it will want to fall shut so with broom in place ,( soft head up ) remove rear bonnet centre vent then tie strop/ rope through bonnet and down to bonnet safety receiver and tie off obviously adjusting lenght so the bonnet just goes over centre and makes the strop go taunt ,...

Another quick check , test the inline fuse in the brown wire just above the battery usually parallel with the engine frame

Hi a tip for removing rads is to jack front of car up and put bonnet into service mode , makes removing rad or water pump .removing steering rack etc etc alot easier.
I'd refit rad and then K seal is your friend

Very nice , I've started to collect a second set of body / all the painted parts I will then blast the paint off and repaint it carman red . I've got the 4.2 seats , and badges for the rear , ....... all I need now is the time to do it

There's is a lot of BS written about webers . As has been said , they are a good carb for any state of tune engine , and as far as going for a rolling road session . I would be doing this if it was webers, SU ,or throttle boddies, how is 450 quid alot to spend for absolute tune up that makes the car...

Yes wet oil gauge here, , also run an oil light from a sender that lights up on lack of 20psi rather than the standard 10. Also run one on my modded sprite and thats been cained and bounced all over the show , no fractured hose . Anyway engine rebuild Vs summer dress ...... no contest :bigrin:
