I can only say my starter has been spinning my engine over succesfully for nearly 55years. It doesn't really matter if it uses more juice - that's quickly replenished by my equally old alternator.

You won't get a 2+2 with 3 wipers I don't think. They have the higher windscreen so only need 2 wipers.

Pretty much what I've got, a series 2 2+2 with a webasto roof.
I chose it for the practicality, mainly the extra room.

I have the same set up as the OP, and often find that the adaptor with 3/4 drive and breaker bar won't move the spinner.
