Zeus calipers are not made by Coopercraft they are two different firms.
I do know that Zeus had their brakes approved by Jaguar, & they have fitted them at Jaguar Classic.

Re: Sovy Failure
Geoff. Yes they would use standard caps, I had thought about fluid level but all the XK's 120 etc use a plane steel bottle , Jeremy has a good point re the pin though. Many thanks both for your feed back , as an engineer its something I keep wanting to do & the repeat of these bottle failures has ma...

Re: Sovy Failure
I am looking at making some reservoirs from billet aluminium for 4.2 cars ( could also do 3.8 ) for myself.
Would they be of interest to any one , don't have a cost yet.

Re: SNG Barratt User Group
Good afternoon Julian. I have also had this problem with temp senders , not just from SNG , we have purchased some from Caerbont direct & they also gave a very high reading both with a new gauge & an original one. Those senders were from a new batch made late last year. The only senders we have foun...

Hi Mark.
I watched that program & had the same thought re saving rear lights, which don't re chrome.
I have been trying to find who they used with out any luck, have you made contact yet.
I found a few firms on line but not the one they used.
Thanks Neal.

Re: Torsion bar help
Hi Mich. I have come across this problem before with original torsion bars, & as you say if you jack the car up & then let it back down its the correct height until you drive it. Mostly its when they have been off the car for some time. I now always add about 1/2" ( 12.7 mm ) to the setting length a...

Re: Spinners stuck and wheels stuck on!
Hi Jon. I have fitted lots of Zeus calipers over the years to different Jaguars with out any problems. If you did want to change yours I would take them up on their offer, they are not far away from you. Your problem is made worse by the fact you have vented discs, I don't know what other people thi...

Re: Spinners stuck and wheels stuck on!
Yes I have had chrome wheels blasted & then painted , I have used both powder coating & wet painting. It works well , the only thing is if your wheels are tube less the blasting/painting can remove or damage the sealing . To over come this you will need to fit tubes . You can also get a chrome powde...

I should also have said that if you are a member of the J E C they will provide you with a letter to send to the D V L A . This confirms the details of your car , other clubs may also do this.

Re: Type approval etc UK registration of US Import
I have to say that so far I have never had a problem registering a imported car with the DVLA.
I have done it a few times & just tick the box where it says RHD.
Good luck with it .

Should have read the first post properly as it did say 3.8 car.
What I said is correct for a 4.2 .
Sorry for the confusion .

Re: Fuel and Brake Lines
I have always run the fuel line on the drivers side for a RHD car, this is the same side as the fuel filter. It is fixed with P clips on the outside of the channel ( nearest the sill ) there are holes a long it for that reason. The brake line goes on the other side also outside the channel & uses sp...

Hi Ed.
I am based near Crediton, when you get the car back to Devon I would be happy to talk it over with you.
As for hoses SNG or David Manners are all OK , I would stick with standard ones for now.
Good luck looks like a good project.

Hi Darren. Is it a change of job you want , or a burning desire to start your own business. If its the first with your skills any restoration firm would jump at the chance to employ you, knock on a few doors even if they have no adds for new staff. If its your own business how about working as a sub...
