Re: V12 E-type, “Unleashed”
Sorry for coming late to the party, whilst the draft legislation implied power increases as a fail for historic changes the final version was reduced to the following which is a cut and paste from the government website…. “Alternative cubic capacities of the same basic engine and alternative origina...

It appears to have pressing and bolt holes for internal bonnet locks, does this help to identify age, ie not before xx1961?
Re: TV Jag
It appears the series is a concours classic car show, Mini Cooper, Hornet, Herald, MGBs, Granada, Capri and of course the S3 E. my only observation is…..they are all too clean, they look like trailer queens. Still, not a bad series.

Re: Position of brake fluid reservoirs.
Reading your question, rhd S1 cars had all 3 together in front of the driver with the clutch bottle nearest the wing, RHD S2 cars had a clutch and brake bottle in front of the driver and the second brake bottle above the passengers knees. LHD cars had the bottles mounted on a heat shield to the left...

Re: Series 1 rear brakes recurring failure.
I have had similar on my 3.8. The cause was the top master cyl, feeding the rear brakes was not recuperating. This meant the brakes would bind on and slow the car whilst trying to make progress. The cyl was removed and bench tested, ie I blew into the outlet port and no air came out of the inlet por...

Re: Sandblasting NE Hants/Surrey
Something I have heard recently with very favourable comments is dry ice blasting which is much kinder to the car panels than other mediums.
