Re: How to demist Smiths gauges?
Turn the lights on, the incandescent bulbs will generate enough heat to demist, usually its good for some weeks before any mist is back.

Serge, I can gladly remove the oil gauge from my car, which is reading correctly, and lend it to you for testing.

Re: Returning to the fray, going Left or Right HD ?
Hi Rory, good reading you and learning about your project progress. Last week we took a break down on the côte basque, had hesitated with Hérault, great weather and lovely roads topdown ! There were few iterations of a cable throttle setups on the US jaglovers forum, but the Mangoletsi remains super...

Re: oil pressure sender calibration widget
Power will come directly from the unregulated supply. The old 10v regulators are nothing but on:off switches so are unsuitable sources of power for anything but a bimetallic strip gauge, so the widget and gauge will have their own supply independent of the old 10v "regulator". I have upgraded to el...

Re: Hello to all from France
Bonjour Q,
And welcome here.
Nice looking S3, looks slightly lowered or is it the photo?
And seems to have some good company...
Good to know your location, passed by few time when driving to Périgord
Thanks for open proposal!

Re: 61 OTS in the stable
Serge, as Steve is recommending better first to drain the oil sump and measure what you take out.
Then refill with right volume of fresh oil.
When engine is on idle, lift the oil fill cap and have a look: you should see the oil flowing nicely to lubricate the cams.

Re: 61 OTS in the stable
Bravo Serge, well done!
OTS require quite some fiddling for the optimal fit of soft and hard tops. There are many adjustments to play with, you need a long breath...
Also, the seals shape/quality/positioning play a very important role.
As for the toggles, my experience showed both models work.

I am sure many will agree how agreeable it is now to fold the 2021 page. Time has come to unplug, and head towards spending quality time with our families and friends. Thanks for the expressed good wishes. Thanks for the ones who have been thanked already, still not enough. Please allow me to presen...

Tim, if you can still return the repros do not hesitate, and look for originals even if battered or have yours rechromed.

Re: Can I fix a leaking radiator with araldite?
Sorry reading your troublesome story Jeremy... as in fact facing almost the same: two weeks back noticed a small puddle of coolant on the left side, just regular slow drips from the radiator along the lower frame. But I have a copper one. So guessed time for a new aluminium replacement and contacted...
