Re: V12 owners handbook

Hello Colin,
All pages 59 to 100 are there in consecutive order, with page 60 being blank and without number. Page 61 marks the start of the Emission Control Service Instruction. The copy I have is 100% authentic.

Best regards,

Bill

Re: Rear Lamps - new or rechrome?

Hello Jonathan, The material used in Zinc based die cast of today, hasn't improved to any real extent over that of yesteryear. If any polishing takes place, as would normally be the case after stripping the existing electroplate, there is every likelihood that the dense outer skin of the casting is ...

Re: Rear wheel bearings

Hello Andrew, Following is a graph grabbed from an SKF Manual and clearly indicates that bearing life is significantly improved as the bearings are placed in pre-load. Granted there is a sharp drop off in bearing life as pre-load is increased past the optimal point, but even at circa -0.0055" pre-lo...

Re: Rear Lamps - new or rechrome?

No Plating business will guarantee re-chroming of Zinc Based Die Cast. In practically all cases the plating will fail with the same defect that you're wanting to have fixed by re-chroming, only it will fail in shorter time period than the original failure. Out of the die, the part has a close grain ...

Hello Paul, Is the spline of your T5 First Motion Shaft, the same as the Jaguar Gearbox? Its hard to tell for sure from the picture of the two clutch plates, but it looks like the spline diameter of the new clutch plate is smaller than the unit from the S1. If so, the spline of the First Motion Shaf...

It's Posted in the Series 3 section, therefore, presumably the car is an S3. With an S3, there is no Reaction Plate per se, but an " I " Beam anchor members bolted to the floor. The engine will go in just fine with the suspension totally in place.
