Could just be a bad earth on the starter motor, and just a coincidence that the jump battery worked that time.

I do the same as you James, I put the burner phone on mute and hide it whenever I use the car.
The battery lasts forever when not being used as a phone.
Only problem is, it only requires a cheap blocker to hide the burner phones signal, but I feel anything is better than nothing.

Looks like seat belts were fitted. He genuinely seemed excited though, was nice to see.
