Thanks guys....the 15mm copper is great....re the setting links for the camber angle the manual shows using this once the IRS is fitted back on the car then having to remove the springs/shocks to adjust shims.....is there no way to set the IRS prior to installing?......Steve

IRS refurb

Hi All......just removed the IRS for a refurb (in good time as one of the mounts had parted)......advice needed for removing the inner & outer fulcrums, the manual shows dummy shafts being inserted to retain the bearings, spacers etc.......what have you used? or can i just reasemble without?....Also...

Hi Pete......just measured my 2/2 against a friends S2 ots. with the seats at the same rake & in a position to give a matching arm length to the steering wheel. my 2/2 has an extra 2in from the front edge of the seat to the clutch pedel & 2in longer from the seat edge to the front floor/panel...I ca...

Hi Chris.....I think that they are brass painted plack I have Chris Rooke,s restoration book he polished his & left if the gold cloour. as a word of warning a friend wanted his powder coated but during the process the soldered tank fell apart due to the solder melting...Steve

Hi all.....I have a S2 2/2 which has more leg room that the S2.....My problem is am I to short (5-10).......For my driving position I like to have my arms out fairly straight, I adjust the steering wheel fully in & have the seat in the mid range but really have to stretch the push the clutch peddle ...

Hi All......Will be stripping down the front & rear suspension over the winter & after visiting CMC on a seminar saw that on a lot of the front suspension they use zinc plateing (sent to a plater).......Ive seen some plating kits & wonder if anyone has used them & if they produce an equivelent finis...

Thanks Guys.....The main aim was to tidy up the look of the engine I priced up new enamel manifolds but was put off when told that the enamel would probably last only about a year before showing cracks although you can get seconds with small chips in the enamel at a much reduced cost.....Will not no...

Hi Guys........Anyone have experiance of having their seats re coloured. I have a S2 2/2 with an original Barley beige interiour...I know that they were re coluured in 1994 but now look a bit tired & the colour is patchy...Im still looking to stay with the beige as the rest ot the interiour is good....

Hi.......first thoughts are to check the fuel flow comming out of the filter.disconnect on the carb side & run the pump an old /blocked filter will reduce the flow & could cause fuel starvation on acceleration.Steve
