Triple SU S1-S2 compatibility

Hi, I have been proposed a triple SU set with the inlet manifold. It is coming out of a 3.8 S1, and seem to be in good shape. Since I am running with a 4.2 S2 (twin Strombergs), guess there could be some issues with the water connections. How difficult would this conversion be? Recommended or better...

I am quite tempted in attending this gathering, as the agenda for the spring starts filling up.
Are there other fellow listers joining?
Also, no mention found on possible places to stay for the night of saturday-sunday, guess we have to find our way.
Cheers,

On closer look, given the missing bits and pieces, seems to me obvious that the original title of this shell (surely a LHD, US import delivered in a 20' container) is now accompanying a running restored car.
Pete, the ebay item you indicate is stated to belong to a RHD.

Steve,
There seems to be a riveted aluminium id plate on the bulkhead, left side, close to where the electrical wires are emerging.
Wishing much courage and luck in your project!

Hi Simon,
Indeed, this curveous body is quite familiar!

Do not hesitate to drop us a couple of pics with a nice background, for sure all folks here would love to see some.
All the best,

Hello Simon and welcome on board! You are pretty lucky to be able to drive such a great car on your lovely roads. Wishing you many years of fun and satisfaction. Indeed, giving the "bath" to the E is a sacred moment, an intimate encounter somehow... The drainage on the left side of the boot is secur...

ID plate stamping

Hi,
I have to fix a new identification plate on my car.
What are the different experiences around?
Shall I buy a stamping set and do it myself, or send a blank plate with details to someone to have it properly done?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Christopher,
I haven't seen this adjustment on S2, at least not on mine.

David, Not to say negative things, but rather being realistic and practical. While other suppliers have variable dispatch charges depending on weight/volume, they have a min charge for 5kg parcel to Belgium (?48 by UPS, ?42 expedited mail, or ?21.60 for upto 2kg by standard uninsured surface mail).....

New member from Belgium

Hi to all, I am new to this forum, joined only couple of weeks back to follow the EDIS topic developped by David. I have been on the JL forum since several years, at first during the restoration process and then for the maintenance and occasional surprises. A great forum in all respects, with quite ...
