Hello,
I am a very happy owner of a -63 FHC, which have had 5 owners and was restored in ca 1991-92.
Still in a beutiful state, it was restored to original configurations.
All matching numbers according to JHC.
I have been lurking around the forum for some time, I know I should have introduced my self earlier!
Anyway, I am retired and have been into cars all my life, live in Sweden so unfortunately will not drive the car during winter!
Regards to everyone!
Mikael

Mikael, welcome to the forum. That's a good looking car you have, when did you buy?
One of the forum members lives in Switzerland and deems it his duty to drive in winter and summer. But you must look after the car how you feel best and you'll have those lovely long summer evenings to enjoy.
Wishing you lots of enjoyable driving.
Geoff

Good morning all
I have just purchased a series 3. Barn find and have started the long quest to reach a renovated standard car with as little non genuine kit on it as possible ,I have joined the forum to tap in the wealth of knowledge on what's right and what's not on this car . I would appreciate any help on the best places to purchase and renovate as much of the standard car as possible ,
The start is where is the best place to get my original spike wheels renovated , not replaced
Ian

Morning Ian & Welcome.
There is a lot of great information available to you on the forum to help with your S3 restoration using genuine parts as much as possible.
It's probably better you start your own new welcome thread rather than using an existing one from another new member.
With regards to wire spoke wheels, most of the time you are better to replace the wheels with new ones due to quality, cost and reliability - Try MWS. However, if you want to refurb them, then you could use Phil Hallewell

Enjoy your restoration !

not just a duty, but also fun to drive in winter The old girl has to earn her keep as well!
I was just considering some wheels for the winter and thought about the MWS painted, but after some of the reviews here I am having second thoughts.
Welcome along.
