#1 Taken the plunge and bought an E.

Post by lestere » Mon Jul 31, 2017 1:48 pm

Having briefly owned a 67 2+2 in the early eighties and sold her to fund a step on the housing ladder it was always one of the many cars that passed through my hands I regretted selling.
So I have purchased a 66 LHD 2+2 in Willow Green.
I hope to post onto the forum as I complete the many jobs that need attending to on a 50 year old car that hasn’t been driven for many years.

You're obviously as crazy as the rest of us.

Welcome to the asylum.

Well done you....you won't regret your decision

In amongst all the buying of bits and planning trips and shows do give some though to security. Sadly several cars have have been stolen over the past year or so and none have been recovered to my knowledge. E types are targets for thieves so make sure they don't lift yours....there are plenty of threads and thoughts here about on securing your car but what ever you do do not rely on the period security features of your car as they are useless....

I rather care for that willow green; presumably she's black or green inside?

I see you're local, I'm near Whitstable.
