Hello,
I have recently come back to the E-type scene after some 15 years -when I had a S1 FHC around the millennium.
Now I am back in business, having bought a fairly untouched late S1.5 OTS from California.
It is resprayed once ~1985 but otherwise unrestored and rust free. There is some maintenance to catch-up but no major mechanical work needed. It seems driven 135’ miles but regularly serviced, judged by the thick pile of receipts that came with the car.
Among the long list of work planned is changing the speedometer from MPH to KMPH.
Luckily I have a S2 KMPH speedo on the shelf, but need to replace the glass and bezel.
Having browsed the net and this site for advise, I have not found a source for S2 speedo bezels with the rounded edge –even if S1 V-shape bezels are available.
Any ideas?
Best regards /Calle Berntsson

Calle, welcome to the forum and to owning an E Type again.
I can't answer your question about the bezel, but there are various people such as Speedograph Richfield who refurbish speedos that might be able to help.
Tell us more about your car and photos are always good to see. You'll get lots of help from people on here.
Good luck
Geoff

Finally figured out how to add pictures
First job on the long list is removing the radiator for re-celling. As it seems, the fan shroud should be wrinkle finish and the fan motor bracket satin finish -right?
