Well I never realised you could check MOT history, very interesting thank you mgcjag.
I followed the Barons auction online, the bidding stopped at £29.5k plus auction fees. Looking at the MOT history there is mention of rust underneath and repairs needed in rear seat belt fixing area. I also noticed the car was recorded as being pink at some time.

For anyone buying a car it is very handy. Goes back to 2006 so you can see not only failures and advisories over the years but also mileages and gaps too. If there are missing years - why? If it stops later than 2006 suggests it was either in a barn feeling unwell or even outside the country. All questions for the seller, whether an e type or a ten year old potential run about
